Sand and Carbon Filter
The sand and carbon filter is used after the water (water) purification process to achieve the complementary removal of solids and disease-causing contaminants that are still suspended and not destroyed. The sand and carbon filter is equipped with an automated backwash system in order to maintain a high level of efficiency.
Our Pressure Sand and Carbon Filters are engineered for superior performance in both water and wastewater treatment industries. They feature advanced composite materials, including PE and FRP linings, offering exceptional corrosion resistance. The FRP windings enhance the structural strength, enabling the vessels to withstand high pressures.
Key Features:
- Corrosion-Resistant Design: PE and FRP linings ensure excellent resistance to corrosion, extending the lifespan of the vessel.
- High Strength: FRP windings provide additional strength to handle high-pressure environments.
- Efficient Filtration: The multi-layer sand configuration, with varying sizes and specific gravities, effectively removes turbidity and suspended particles while maintaining a low pressure drop.
- Customizable: Filters are tailored to meet specific process requirements.
- Versatile Construction: Available in Mild Steel, FRP, or Stainless Steel (SS) with appropriate face piping and associated valves
Carbon Sand Filter EfficiencyThe efficiency of the sand and carbon filter depends on several factors, the most important of which is the turbidity and the total (suspended solids), as with the increase in the proportion of plankton and turbidity, the amount of the components of the sand and carbon filter and the capacity of the filter or container must increase, in order to increase the period between the cases of saturation of the filters with sediment and plankton. , thus increasing the time between backwash operations and increasing filter efficiency.During the backwash process the water flows in the opposite direction to the normal flow of the service. The backflow rate must be high enough to allow the pollutants from the loose filters to escape away into the wastewater through the wastewater pipeline where they are disposed. The backwash process takes about 10-15 minutes, then the filter is clean with high efficiency.
These Pressure Sand Filters are designed to deliver reliable and efficient performance, making them ideal for diverse water and wastewater treatment applications.
